Mid-Atlantic People of Color Legal Scholarship Competition
The Mid-Atlantic People of Color, the University of Virginia Center for the Study of Race and Law and the Virginia Journal of Social Policy and the Law are hosting a conference from January 28-30, 2010 with the theme "fifty years after the sit-ins; reflecting on the role of protest in social movements and law reform." In connection with the conference, they are sponsoring a student writing competition with the same theme. The deadline for entries is December 19, 2009; two papers will be awarded prizes of $500 and the possibility of publication. Click here for more information.
